Daffodowndilly

This whimsical setting of A. A. Milne’s poem gets its dance-like and carefree feel from the use of the Dorian mode in triple meter. The daffodil, at the onset of spring, shakes its yellow head, waltzes to the breeze in its green gown, flirts with the sunlight, and laughs in the face of the retreating winter.
